The enchanting Dukes’ Palace Brugge is a five-star boutique hotel that was once the home of the Burgundian aristocracy.

The grounds here are truly amazing; from the 3000 m² flourishing garden for guests to enjoy to the paid parking garage, you’ll feel right at home! Plus, you’re only a 280-meter walk from Market Square, making it a great place for sightseeing.

While you stay at the Dukes’ Palace Brugge, you can dine in their fancy restaurant, have a drink in their expansive bar area, or rest up in their spa zone with a bio sauna, sunshower, salt wall, a fully stocked gym, and massage treatments.

Up next for my picks of the best hotels in Bruges, Belgium is the gorgeous Hotel Van Cleef. The location is simply perfect – it’s right along a canal, so you can enjoy your breakfast while watching the boats filled with tourists go by. Moreover, it’s only a five-minute walk to Market Square.

Hotel Van Cleef offers a nice selection of facilities, including a picnic area with an outdoor fireplace, a sun terrace, an onsite coffeehouse, and breakfast-in-bed options.

On the days you’re exploring the city, you can rent a bike from reception, or they can book you on to one of their really cool bike tours.

There are seven room styles to choose from at Hotel Van Cleef. My personal favorite is the luxury double rooms.

They feature chic designs, Missoni home fabrics, spacious marble bathrooms, magnifying mirrors, digital TVs, and cozy double beds. It’s also possible to book this style of room with a canal view if you want.

A stay here puts you in a superb location for discovering the best of what Bruges has to offer. The Belfry of Bruges is 150 meters away, Choco-Story can be walked to in less than ten minutes, and an access point for the canal boat tours is only around the corner.

Guests can book themselves in for a lovely afternoon tea experience on the Hotel De Orangerie’s terrace. Sample fresh scones, finger sandwiches, yummy pastries, and tasty teas in style.

As for the rooms at Hotel De Orangerie, they’ll leave you speechless. Inside, you’ll find substantial king-sized beds, wide-screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, free toiletries, and a hair dryer.

There’s no question that the De Tuilerieën is among the top boutique hotels in Bruges for its favorable location 300 meters from the Grote Markt, authentic suites, and canal views.

While the bar and lounge area at the De Tuilerieën does provide a nice place for relaxation, nothing beats the wellness spa center with an indoor swimming pool and infrared sauna, exclusively for hotel guests.

Your guest room at the De Tuilerieën will be adorned with upscale furnishings and have a royal bathroom, Nespresso machine, mini bar, and a plush double bed. Don’t forget to add breakfast in bed with your booking; it costs extra, but it’s incredibly scrumptious and worth it.

The family-run Boutique Hotel De Castillion is another classy lodging option in Bruges near the St. Salvators Cathedral.

Everyone who stays at the four-star property raves about it, and for good reasons: the staff is so friendly, the generous breakfast buffet tastes amazing, there’s an electric car charging point, and the welcoming bar is perfect for a nightcap.

There’s a room option for everyone at Boutique Hotel De Castillion. The classic room is great value, while the premium luxe suite is made for those who want to pamper themselves. The set of rooms all boast private bathrooms with bathtubs, plasma TVs, minibars, and more.

One more of the adult-only boutique hotels in Bruges is Dukes’ Arches Brugge. It’s located 200 meters from Burg Square and is within walking distance of plenty of local restaurants, including one of my favorites, Bistro Bruut.

Dukes’ Arches has a lot to offer guests in terms of facilities like a wellness room, calm courtyard, fully stocked bar, and a couple of lounges for some downtime.

There are only 50 rooms at the Dukes’ Arches, and they’re split up into nine styles, so there’s a good variety up for grabs. They contain free Wi-Fi, fancy interiors, bathtubs with integrated showers, espresso machines, and a range of free toilets.

11. Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce

In a few minutes, you could easily walk to notable attractions like the Church of Our Lady, Belfry of Bruges, and Brugse Vrije from Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce.

My next selection for you is B&B Canal Deluxe. It may be a little bit outside of the center, but you can be in at De Markt Square in five minutes.

If a more local experience sounds right up your lane, then B&B Canal Deluxe will be the right fit for you. Not only is the location in a quiet residential area, but the owners really go above and beyond to make their guests feel like family.

Personally, I think the main draw of the B&B Canal Deluxe is the rooms. They all look out over a canal and have their own fireplaces, salons, walk-in rain showers, terraces, and grand-sized beds.

14. Boutique Hotel Die Swaene

Boutique Hotel Die Swaene

You can never go wrong with a night stay in the 17-room Boutique Hotel Die Swaene, only three minutes from Market Square.

The main facilities at Boutique Hotel Die Swaene include a 30°C indoor swimming pool, sauna room, world heritage salon/bar, and free Wi-Fi. Also, this is a dog-friendly property, so you’re free to bring along your fur baby but be mindful that you must pay an extra fee.

Every room in the Boutique Hotel Die Swaene is magnificent, but the Pink suite really is remarkable, particularly for girls. All of the interior is designed in pink; you have a view of the Groenerei canal, and you’ll struggle to get out of the beds in the morning; they’re that soft.

15. Dukes’ Academie Brugge

Dukes’ Academie Brugge is located in a peaceful pocket near the Lake of Love. One of the many great things about staying here is that you get the best of both worlds; it’s in a quiet enough area with fewer crowds, but all the main sights can be walked to in less than ten minutes.

With a bar, terrace, breakfast room, and restaurant, you’ll never be short of places to kick back and relax when you don’t feel like doing too much.

Dukes’ Academie is a big enough boutique hotel in Bruges with 90 rooms, and many of them have sizable bathtubs, great for a leisurely soak. If you’re traveling with kids, they offer cots on request, and it’s best to notify them in advance, just in case they run out.

Treat yourself to a night in the peaceful Raphaëlles Boutique B&B, found in an old doctor’s practice 600 meters from the Bruges Concert Hall.

Couples, in particular, have rated Raphaëlles Boutique B&B highly; maybe it’s because of the fresh aesthetics that create a romantic ambiance or the sense of privacy you get. Visitors who choose Raphaëlles Boutique B&B as their base won’t be disappointed.

The rooms are ultra-trendy with vintage features and offer a wealth of amenities like King-size box spring beds dressed in sheets by Mirabel Slabbinck, walk-in showers, Molton Brown toiletries, and an espresso machine.

Hotel Aragon is a delightful, budget-friendly option in the old city center part of Bruges. Stay clear of the big hotel chains and book yourself to stay at one of this spot’s deluxe guestrooms.

Should you choose to spend your vacation at the Hotel Aragon, you’ll experience a Flemish-style breakfast. In the evenings, you can try some tasty local beer in the bar area and mingle with the other guests.

Hotel Aragon may be a low-cost hotel, but the rooms sure don’t represent that. Offered in sizes between 20 m² and 34 m², your guest room promises to be an urban sanctuary with fashionable furnishings, premium linens, tea and coffee facilities, and beautiful en suite bathrooms.

Go all out and book one of Hotel Aragon’s apartments, sleeping up to six people. They feature saloons, state-of-the-art kitchenettes, new TVs, and loaded minibars.

19. Hotel Ter Brughe by CW Hotel Collection

Hotel Ter Brughe is a part of the CW Hotel Collection and has an authentic medieval feeling to it. Like a lot of the Bruges hotels, this property is on the banks of one of the city’s picturesque canals, an 8-minute walk away from the Market Square.

The building Hotel Ter Brughe is in dates back to 1470, and the owners are adamant that the breakfast area, which is set in an old cellar, can be traced back even further.

While Hotel Ter Brughe doesn’t have all the fancy facilities that a lot of the other Bruges boutique hotels have, the affordability and the mouthwatering breakfast offered every morning sure do make up for it.

There are seven different room styles on offer at the Hotel Ter Brughe, some of which look out directly to the canal.

For the price of a night to stay here, you cannot complain about the amenities provided. You get super-fast Wi-Fi, a mini bar with an excellent selection of drinks, a plasma TV with satellite channels, a tea and coffee-making area, and free premium toiletries.

Wake up to an irresistible breakfast first thing in the morning in Hotel Acacia’s homely dining area. It has all the ingredients to start your day on a high note, like a wide selection of bread, fresh fruits, and cereals. If the weather is nice, pop out onto the terrace to have it instead.

The guestrooms at the Hotel Acacia all embody the qualities of intimacy and calmness. Whichever of the 7 room styles you go with, you can expect a flatscreen TV with international channels, a tea and coffee station, minibar access, and work areas.

Guests can sip some drinks at Martin’s cocktail bar while relaxing out on the terrace at the end of a busy day of their adventures around Bruges.

Martin’s Brugge places a huge importance on sustainability and the environment. Even so much so that they have their own Green Key Label, which promotes green initiatives; they even allow guests eco vouchers such as Sodexo, Edenred & Monizze.

The 199 rooms at Martin’s blend classic details with modern luxuries with elegant furnishings and deliver all the necessary amenities for a comfortable night’s rest.

La Clé Brugge is a 16th-century guesthouse wedged between the quarters of Sint-Anna and Langestraat. The street it’s located on is famed for being one of the city’s main culinary hotspots, lined with authentic eateries, local food stores, and stylish bars, so if you’re a foodie, take note.

The property offers airport pick-up from Brussels, Bruges & Lille airports for groups as long as they exceed ten people. Be sure to contact them in advance to avoid disappointment.

There are only five guestrooms at La Clé Brugge, which adds to its charm. Each of them has been thoughtfully designed in its own style and has free Wi-Fi access, flatscreen TVs, and exquisite ensuite bathrooms.

23. Boutiquehotel ‘t Fraeyhuis

As I come to the end of my list of the best boutique hotels in Bruges, I have one more option that I know you’ll be interested in.

The 4-star Boutiquehotel ‘t Fraeyhuis was fully redesigned back in 2019 and has made its way back onto the accommodation scene again in Bruges.

Capitalize on some of their great deals for their guestrooms that come in four different styles. Suite 1 is the option I liked the most; it features a toasty fireplace, a protective safe, a mini fridge with free water, qualitative care products, and a king-size box spring bed.

The ensuite bathrooms are impressive, too; they have powerful rain showers, hairdryers, and bathtubs.
