We had a blast exploring the entire island. We came during their winter when temperatures were 55-59 F, and for the first few days, had little sunshine and lots of wind. We definitely needed our warm jackets, and bought gloves and a hat. However, the last few days were sunny and delightful. Best thing was, there were no crowds, anywhere, in January. We are photographers, and delighted in the photos everyone comes to Santorini to get, without having to work around the crowds. We rented a small Fiat Panda from Sixt, and it took us up the switchbacks to Ancient Thera, down to Akrotiri to the ruins, up to Oia and around the island to multiple small towns to explore and photograph. We found some "local" restaurants that were open and filled, and sampled wonderful Greek food. It was a wonderful time, and we would come again in January to avoid the crowds!

Santorini is such a wonderful island.
Santorini is such a wonderful island. And Fira is such a great place to stay given that it is centrally located between Akrotiri and Oia, and not too far from the airport. Weather was fantastic for November. We were only a few blocks from the bus station which has buses running to all parts of the island fairly frequently (helps to avoid taxis which tend to charge a bit much). The sunsets from both Fira and Oia were magical, as are the walks along the charming streets of both towns.

Santorini is no longer a relaxing vacation spot.
Santorini is no longer a relaxing vacation spot. Five cruise ships were in port and, therefore, pedestrian streets were so crowded in Fira and Oia that you could barely move. I visited in 2011, which was nice. Friends warned me not to return in 2023 because of crowding but I disregarded their advice. They were right. Santorini would be wise to strictly limit the number of cruise ships. If you go there, try to schedule your visit when there are no ships in port. The day we left there were no ships and strolling around was actually a pleasure. It's a beautiful island - but overcrowded.

Yes it is touristic therefore easy accessibility to anywhere on the island. Lots of shops and eateries, easy to walk around Fira on foot. We didn't need a car there. Walked and also took buses to Oia and the airport. Many restaurants to explore.

They upgraded our room to premium cave .
They upgraded our room to premium cave . Accommodation was very good. It was short 7 min walk from Fira bus station. Breakfast was very good severed at our room. Rooms were big and clean. would recommend for others.
Amazing location with amazing view of the city of Fira, in Santorini. Great and very filling breakfast. The manager gave us a complimentary dinner and wine on our first day of arrival to pacify my complaint of the cave room I booked. it wasn’t a big deal, just that the pictures on the booking looked slightly different from what we got here. I thought we had a little window asides from the entrance and exit door but we didn’t which isn’t the hotel’s fault because it clearly stated it’s a cave suite. We enjoyed the room, regardless.
The facilities and the hotel are stunning. It’s located a bit out of town but they offer a shuttle to and from Fira and the port which worked really well for us. The pool area is stunning and the room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. We had an early checkout on the last morning so they made sure we had an early breakfast before we went to the port. The room was lovely and cool as it was really hot when we were in Santorini. We actually enjoyed being away from the crowds in Santorini
Excellent location in Fira - a short leap from everything you could possibly need. The hospitality was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome by the team. The property itself is beautiful and quiet with a great pool and spaces to relax - the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and well laid out with everything you might need. Most of all, we just enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel and how sincerely we were treated. Would highly recommend this for a stay in Santorini!
The Manager Dimitri was very friendly and willing to help us whit valuable information. The location was excellent, near to the base street and walking distance to Fira center and Caldera. The bedroom was excellent size, modern, clean and very comfortable. Every room have private hot pool-jacuzzi. After the hot days in Santorini it is very nice to have a place to relax. Hot we recommend to avoid dirty and noisy hotels in the center. I loved every second of my stay there!
Nothing, as I was angry about the mouldy room. I regret I haven't booked somewhere else. Recently this facility was advertised also as Fira East Heart Rooms at booking.com, before it was advertised as Fira Economy Rooms, now it disappeared. The host keeps changing the profile and name of the place at booking.com - probably due to reviews they receive from their guests. It is situated just opposite the road from the Milos Villas Hotel in Santorini.
This was my second stay and Panoroma. You cannot beat the location. It is centrally located and near everything in Fira. The rooms were beautiful and had a spectacular view. Spiro at reception was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable, helped us and answered all our questions, and always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast on the upstairs terrace was fantastic. Look no further this is the hotel to stay at when visiting Santorini.
The studio is in a very convenient location about 5 - 7 min walk from Fira bus station which is the main transit point to airport, Oia bus and all Santorini destinations. The studio room is excellent and all amenities are as described. The hosts are wonderful and very responsive. The Fira marketplace and restaurants are all walking distance. Overall a wonderful place to stay in Fira and enjoy Santorini.
We stayed here for 1 night but the hotel was immaculate and very well kept. You are right in the heart of Fira! If you are not wanting to spend a lot of money, are not worried about Cliff Side views, and just need a nice place to stay, this is the perfect place for you! You are 1-2 minute walk away from the Santorini Iconic Views, and you do not have to pay $400-$500 to enjoy them.
Loved this hotel. Great for a budget trip to Santorini. Right next to the bus station where you can go anywhere for a euro or two. Supermarket and good value food options nearby. And a few minutes to the cliff face to see the classic Santorini views.
The guy at the front desk Ledio was super helpful in giving advice on what to do.
I was really happy I chose this place.
We LOVED the hotel, mainly for their unbelievalbly hospitable staff. The pool was nice, and the breakfast was very good. The rooms, for a beach hotel, were excellent. Not luxury but really nice. And the hotel is a short walk to Fira, in the centre of Santorini (Thira). The staff, I can't sing their praise enough. Truly exceptional and especially Elpida. Just the best!
If you’re looking for a good value for money in Santorini island this is the spot! Although its a bit far from the center or Fira but they provide free shuttle rides from the hotel to center and let me tell you they were always on time! The rooms were clean and you even get a small balcony with it!
I loved this hotel. It was very central, literally 200 meters from fira center. 5 mins walk to the bus station from where you could go to oia, or anywhere else in santorini. As a solo female traveler, the street and area felt very safe both during the day and during the night.
Hotel Location is close to Fira Main Bus Station. The bus from the ferry port brings everyone to this station. Where they can remain in Fira or take a bus to other towns/cities on Santorini. The bus schedules are posted on the small building at this station.
Most co-operative staff I ever seen, they give me check in 8 hours before check in time.
Best hotel, best location, neat & clean, free coffee/tea any time, if anybody is in Santorini/fira....this is best place to stay, all credit goes to there staff.
The pool area! Quiet and just outside the busy part of Fira. Only a short walk into town with lots of great restaurants, bakeries and cafes nearby. The best gyro in Santorini is at the bottom of the driveway - Golden Grill Santorini.
The hotel is very close to Fira bus terminal and easy for daily transfer to Oia or beaches in Santorini. The room is small but for the price you are paying for, it is considered good. Safe area and quite in the evening.
the location of the hotel is excellent right in the centre of firas close to everything. Mrs Haroulla and her staff is excellent! very helpful to explain everything and guide us for all the places in santorini
My friend and I went to Santorini and were recommended to stay in Fira. We were glad we found this location. Dimitris went above and beyond to make the experience a great one for us!
The property was clean and fair. Moreover they provide a shuttle from the hotel to the Fira center. So it was so good and convenient to travel anywhere in Santorini.
Good location in the centre of Fira, clean modern rooms with comfortable beds. Great looking pool area. Really nice hotel that’s well priced for Santorini.
