I stayed for 4 days and wished it was longer. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of a rice field and the views especially from the Green room are so gorgeous. I spent hours just sitting on the private balcony watching the sun set or a lightning/thunderstorm. Rooms are basic but well-appointed and have everything you need - there is no AC and I didn't find it necessary. While I'm sure there are more high-end "boutique" hotel experiences around, I appreciate that Lesong is run by a local family. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful, arranging drivers/tours for me even at the insanely early hours I requested. I HIGHLY recommend taking one of their own tours, including the jungle trek, which was an awesome opportunity to learn about the local indigenous culture/history! While some may find it "isolated" because it's not in the center of Munduk, I personally loved the slower pace, walking around through the villages without hectic traffic or throngs of tourists.
Located in Munduk, Bali’s naturally cooled area, Puri Sunny Guest house provides rooms that overlook the greenery. This property offers a restaurant, spa and free parking.

The restaurant with the pool area is really like Heaven, I and my husband were amazed by the beautiful scenery. The tranquility and the fresh air there is what I enjoyed most. The staff no matter the manager or general staff, they were all very attentive to us. They can spot our needs before we raised our request. The food in the hotel restaurant was also great. We wish we could stay longer :)

Amazing views to mountains from basically any hotel or restaurant. Many hiking trails to waterfalls or little bit further by the lake. Beautiful nature and very friendly locals. Stayed at Adila Homestay - very nice place with restaurant and many services on site + waterfalls hiking track behind their house. Also visited restaurant Made Warung and warung Kadirasa - both family owned by locals, in Kadirasa I was albe to sing karaoke with the owner. Please go and support them in every way possible, its really hard to survive out here for them.

Went to see waterfalls - well worth the effort.
Went to see waterfalls - well worth the effort.
Recommend some level of walking fitness before going - more than 1 500 uphill steps during the day resulted in delayed onset muscle soreness for a couple of days.
Take a GoPro for the waterfalls.
Water temple also worth visiting.

Excellent weather, albeit a bit chilly even in July. Greenery all around. Winding roads (not recommended to roam these roads by car if you get car sick easily). Plenty of waterfalls, though all of them require a bit of a trek. Very few tourists compared to southern part of the island.

For nature lovers that love to explore - tonnes of waterfalls in the area including the breathtaking Sekumpul Waterfall and the Lemukih Natural Water Slide were completely epic! The roads are decent to ride a scooter around and you get to see way more! On our next trip to Bali, we have already noted that Munduk is 1 of the places we would return to.

A wonderful place for nature lovers.
A wonderful place for nature lovers. A totally different side to bali, more authentic in a way. Waterfalls, lakes, mountains amd temples. A quaint little village. Absolutely worth seeing. Only issue is it's hard to get around, as you areore reliant on a local driver.
Family-run small hotel, only a few cabins with breathtaking views. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. They recommended us the best way to go to the waterfalls, which are super close from the hotel. Location is great to hike to the waterfalls and to walk to an amazing warung. The staff even offered us to drive us there. The plants they grow are beautiful. Room was clean and simple. Breakfast is good (we had banana pancakes and fresh fruits with coffee).
We highly recommend this place if you stay in Munduk!
We really enjoyed our stay at Lesong. We were 3 friends staying at a 2 size-queen bed room with plenty of space. The room was clean and had everything we needed, we had amazing views to the rice fields and a terrace to enjoy the sunset. The staff is the most welcoming ever and made us feel like home, helping us with all our plans. It is a family run hotel and they took care of every single detail during our stay. Breakfast is really good and we also had one dinner at their restaurant.
The perfect stay if you are in Munduk for the waterfall hike. The property is well located and there's an amazing view both from the balcony and the restaurant. The rooms are cosy, provided with a small fridge and an electric kettle.
The host provides the map of the hike, you have to walk down the road and then begin from the Melanting waterfall. Be cautious about the way since there are no indications. When you see the first bamboo bridge, keep walking and then turn left.
Villa is based in a very beautiful calm place surrounded by rice fields, trees, it's fascinating :) we even found a small path going up through the rice terraces all the way to Munduk town ! It's the shortest path, although very steep, totally worth exploring for some views! :))
Tri was also very kind and hospitable, her prepared infosheet was very helpful getting scooters within an hour and finding nice dinner spots !
Terrace is amazing with hammock and a sofa.
Really kind staff, exceptional jungle views from the room and the indonesian food at the restaurant is really nice we had dinner there every night - 100% recommend!
While the hotel is not in Munduk but Gobleg, a small village right next to Munduk, the hotel staff kindly drove us there 😊
There is a very nice waterfall/jungle hike (+-4 hours) next to the hotel
We wanted to spend time in the Munduk area and booked this only a couple of days in advance. The location is quite beautiful with rice fields surrounding the lodging. The staff offered us a list of things to do. We scheduled a cooking class at a local home, hiking the jungle with a guide, a visit to a local waterfall, a temple celebration, and a daily massage.
The attention of the local hosts is amazing. I have been around the world and never in my life had seen such a great attention from the hotel workers. Thanks to all you I am rating this place as 10. The place is beautiful and in the middle of the jungle! Lovely for a peaceful stay and run away from busy Canggu.
my second visit and just as wonderful as the first. the view! the friendly staff - but taking in the views from the balcony is priceless. highly recommend. if you have the stamina to take on the waterfall walk down to munduk, you will not be disappointed. absolutely stunning. best walk in Bali.
Munduk Cabins are so beautiful. I really loved how my cabin was facing the jungle. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub! They also started a fire in the pit in the evening which was a nice added touch. The staff are very kind and attentive. The rooms are super clean, comfortable, cute and private.
This place is just amazing, the best 5star hotel we have ever stayed. The crew is kind, always smiling and really prepared for everything the guests may need.
I wish we could have stayed more nights.
Do not miss Balinese massage iand afternoon tea!
Everything is exceptional the location the room the view the food the wifi netflix hot shower comfy bed super kind staff available all the time helped with organizing trips will surely come back asap. One of my fav hotels ever!!
The location was great. Beautiful views in the Balinese country side. Hotel was a bit outside of town requiring very steep walks for extras. If you had a motorbike or car this would not have been an issue.
The view is really nice and the beds are fairly comfortable. The staff is also quite nice. Currently there is no opportunity to pay with Credit card. But they drove us to the ATM im Munduk Village.
Beautiful location and view over the rice fields and jungle. Very tranquil. The staff and Komang were super helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommended to explore Munduk!
We loved everything! The stuff are amazing! So nice and always helpful.
The room was so equipped with everything.
The activities at three hotel are awesome !
Great location, clean rooms, hot water for shower in a relatively cold Munduk, good food, and the best host I’ve ever met. Will definitely come back again.
It’s fake, there is no hotel. With the booking confirmation they say the creditcard is not valid and aks you to pay via a direct link of OVO. It’s a scam!
