Arriving at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok
One of the biggest draws of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is its unbeatable location. Nestled along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, guests are treated to breathtaking views of both the river and the bustling city skyline.
If you’re planning to fly into Bangkok, you’ll be happy to hear that both Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) are only a short, 30-40-minute drive away from the hotel.
The hotel also offers airport meet and greets and limousine services from both airports for added convenience, which you can book with them in advance.
From the moment you step into the lobby, you’ll be greeted with the warm and attentive service that the Four Seasons is known for. The design of the lobby is absolutely breathtaking, I was immediately taken aback by the grandeur and beauty of it all!
After the quick and seamless check-in process, we were escorted to our room, where some delicious welcome drinks and snacks were waiting for us. It’s these small touches that really make the Four Seasons stand out from other hotels.
Room Types
The Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok offers a variety of room types to suit every guest’s needs, ranging from beautiful guest rooms to stunning suites.
They offer five different types of guest rooms and seven types of suites, so you’ll be spoilt for choice! All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to soak in the breathtaking views of either the river or the city skyline.
Premier River View Room
We stayed in a Premier River View Room, and I have to say, it was absolutely stunning!
The room was spacious and elegantly decorated with light palettes and exquisite furnishings.
One of the highlights was the king-sized bed with luxurious bedding – if you’ve ever stayed at a Four Seasons, you know how comfortable their beds are! It’s seriously like sleeping on a cloud.
The room also featured a large bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, a rainshower, and premium amenities. The smell of the handwash and lotion was absolutely divine!
Other amenities included a Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and an in-room safe. On top of all this, the room had some remarkable technological features like a tablet where we could access the hotel’s services – ordering room service has never been easier!
And let’s not forget about the spectacular view of the river and city skyline from our room. It was truly breathtaking, especially at sunset and at night when the city lights up.
Facilities
Swimming Pool
There are three pools in total at Four Seasons Bangkok; two of them are out by the riverfront, and they’re infinity-styled and excellent for relaxing. The other is beside the fitness center, and it’s a 35-meter (115-foot) lap pool, so it’s more for those who want to exercise.
Both of them have sections with sun loungers, but we preferred the infinity pools since there was more of a laid-back vibe there. Plus, they are located right by the Chao Praya River, so you’re treated to a fantastic view whenever you go for a swim!
Should you require assistance with anything while at the infinity pool, there’s a poolside lounge that offers food and drinks, so the staff on shift can help you.
Urban Wellness Center
While staying at Four Seasons Bangkok, you have to spoil yourself with a little self-care at the Urban Wellness Center. A diverse range of therapies are available, like massages, facials, and fitness and yoga classes.
Guests can access some of the Urban Wellness Center’s brilliant facilities, like a modern gym, treatment rooms with mini hot tubs, and a salon and barber shop.
We treated ourselves to a Four Seasons Bangkok Signature Massage, and it was absolute bliss. The therapists were extremely skilled and professional, and the massage left us feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
Dining
When it comes to dining options, the Four Seasons Bangkok definitely does not disappoint. In fact, if you’re a foodie, it’s definitely worth staying here for just the food alone!
The hotel boasts several different dining outlets, each with its own unique concept and culinary offerings.
Here’s a quick overview:
- Riva del Fiume: This is the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant, serving authentic and delicious Italian dishes with a stunning river view. This is also the place for breakfast, and trust me, you won’t want to miss it!
- Yu Ting Yuan: The only Michelin-starred Cantonese-styled restaurant in Bangkok where you can enjoy savory dim sum and other traditional Chinese delicacies.
- Brasserie Palmier: This French-inspired brasserie serves an all-day menu featuring brasserie classics, as well as plenty of fish and seafood dishes.
- Café Madeleine: A charming patisserie where you can indulge in some of the most delicious and beautifully crafted desserts, pastries, and cakes.
- BKK Social Club: This award-winning glamorous cocktail bar serves creative and unique cocktails and a menu of delicious small plates. It’s an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a chic and sophisticated experience!
- The Lounge: Dine in the hotel’s center at the Lounge, which boasts a mix of indoor and outdoor seating and is open for breakfast, afternoon tea, all-day dining, and drinks in the evening. Here, you can sample a mix of traditional Thai dishes, like Pad Krapow, and standard sandwiches, like an avocado club.
- Poolside Dining: As mentioned earlier, you can enjoy food and drink service at the poolside lounge while relaxing by the pool. The menu here isn’t that big, but it has enough to satisfy your hunger, like burgers, salads, and desserts if you’re feeling peckish.
Riva del Fiume Restaurant
If your room includes breakfast (and you better make sure it does!), you’ll be starting your mornings at Riva del Fiume Restaurant.
The breakfast spread here is truly impressive, with everything from Asian specialties like dim sum and noodles to Western favorites like eggs, bacon, and pastries. Talking about pastries, don’t miss out on the chocolate croissants – they are to die for!
And the best part? You can enjoy all this while taking in the amazing view of the Chao Praya River or the infinity pools in front of the restaurant.
Riva del Fiume has two terraces as well as plenty of indoor seating, so you’ll have no problem finding a spot with great views.
The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, and if you love Italian cuisine (and who doesn’t, am I right?), you absolutely have to book a table here at least once during your stay. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
We dined here for lunch on our last day after checking out and were blown away by the delicious food, impeccable service, and stunning ambiance.
It was hands down the best meal we’ve had in Bangkok, it was almost like dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant!
The highlights were the ‘Carciofo Croccante’ (crispy artichoke heart with sunchokes, hazelnuts, and black Truffle) and the ‘Bottoni di Grano Arso’ (burned wheat buttons pasta filled with duck confit).
For dessert, we went for the ‘Cannoncino Torinese’, a traditional dessert from Sicily made with caramelized puff pastry and vanilla cream. Not only was it delicious, but it was assembled right at our table, making for a fun and unique dining experience.
BKK Social Club
It’s no surprise that BKK Social Club was voted Thailand’s number 1 bar on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. It’s insanely glamorous and has been influenced by the great Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires.
They offer fancy cocktails, top-shelf spirits, and expensive cigars, all of which can be enjoyed in an upmarket setting. If you’re a cocktail enthusiast, you’ll love the creative and unique concoctions they have on offer!
Given that the bar draws inspiration from Argentina, I knew I had to try the Evita cocktail, made with pineapple rum, Campari, and Aperol. It was really amazing and had the perfect balance of flavors.
We also tried some of the small plates, which were not that small, actually! We ended up being so full that we moved our dinner reservation at Riva del Fiume to the next day.
The lobster tacos were a standout, as was the chicken satay. Everything we tried was delicious, and the presentation of each dish was impeccable.
If you’re looking for a sophisticated and chic night out in Bangkok, BKK Social Club is the place to be! The bar is also open for non-guests, so even if you’re not staying at the Four Seasons Bangkok, you can still experience this award-winning bar.
Cafe Madeleine
If you have a sweet tooth like me, you’ll absolutely love Cafe Madeleine. This cute patisserie serves up the most delicious baked goods, making it the perfect spot for a mid-day pick-me-up or a leisurely afternoon treat.
We stopped by Cafe Madeleine in the afternoon to grab some pastries and coffee, and we were really impressed by the quality of the food. Their pastries rival those of any top French bakery, and they also have a great selection of cakes, tarts, and sandwiches.
I highly recommend trying the chocolate croissants – they were perfectly flaky and buttery. And don’t miss out on their signature Madeleine cookies!
The cafe is also beautifully designed, with pastel colors and elegant furnishings that make for a charming atmosphere. There’s also a small outdoor seating area if you prefer to enjoy your treats al fresco.
Final Thoughts
As you can probably tell, we absolutely loved our stay at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. From the luxurious and spacious rooms to the impeccable service and delicious dining options, it truly exceeded our expectations.
But what really stood out to us was the attention to detail and the thought put into every aspect of our stay. It’s clear that the Four Seasons Bangkok team takes great pride in ensuring their guests have a memorable experience.
So if you’re planning a trip to Bangkok, I highly recommend staying at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. It’s the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service – everything you could want in a five-star hotel.
