Arriving at Kempinski St. Moritz
St. Moritz is located in the Engadin Valley of Switzerland, and the town is easily accessible by train or car. It’s a 2.5-3 hour drive from both Zurich and Milan airports, making it a convenient choice for travelers coming from both Europe and beyond.
The train station is 2.5 km from the hotel, so you’d likely need to take a taxi or arrange for a hotel transfer. If you’re planning to rent a car, the hotel offers valet parking for your convenience for an extra fee.
We arrived with a car and we were immediately blown away by the grandeur of the hotel’s exterior. Right after arriving at the entrance, we were greeted by friendly staff who took care of our luggage and parked our car.
Stepping into the lobby, we were struck by its elegant and luxurious atmosphere. The whole hotel oozes an old-world charm and elegant luxury, combined with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was more than happy to assist us with any questions we had. They even gave us a quick tour of the hotel’s facilities and showed us to our room.
Rooms & Suites
Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz offers a range of luxurious rooms and suites, all beautifully designed and furnished with the utmost attention to detail. They also have residences ranging from one to five bedrooms, perfect for families or groups.
Grand Deluxe Double Room
We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Double Room, which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The room featured a comfortable king-size bed with high-quality linens, a seating area with two armchairs and a coffee table, and a writing desk.
The large windows offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lake and we also had a balcony to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Not every room has a balcony though, so be sure to request one if it’s a priority for you.
The marble bathroom was also impressive, featuring a large bathtub, a separate rain shower, and luxurious bath amenities. My favorite feature was the heated floors, a nice added touch to keep our feet warm after a day of skiing.
Luxury Spa
After a day on the slopes or exploring the picturesque town of St. Moritz, there’s no better way to unwind than with a visit to the hotel’s luxury spa.
Featuring a large indoor pool, saunas, and steam rooms, you can bask in the warmth and serenity, gazing out at the snow-capped mountains through panoramic windows. There’s also a heated outdoor pool, perfect for a relaxing soak while taking in the stunning views.
The spa offers a range of treatments and massages, using high-quality products to leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Be sure to book in advance as appointments tend to fill up quickly.
You can also take advantage of the fully equipped gym, complete with modern cardio and weight machines. The view from the treadmill was definitely a motivation to keep running!

Grand Restaurant Les Saisons
We had breakfast at Grand Restaurant Les Saisons every morning and it was a wonderful way to start the day. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including hot dishes, fresh pastries and bread, cheeses and cold cuts, fruits, and juices.
There’s also an option to order hot dishes from the menu, which we highly recommend. The eggs benedict and the avocado toast were both delicious!
Ristorante Da Adriano
Having dinner at Ristorante Da Adriano was definitely a highlight of our stay. The cozy atmosphere and mouth-watering dishes made for a perfect evening and we also had a chance to meet the chef, Adriano himself who was very friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant is set in a beautiful Victorian-style room and the menu features classic Italian dishes, prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Their wine selection is also impressive, with a variety of Italian and international wines to choose from.
Kempinski Bar & Lobby
We also stopped by the Kempinski Bar & Lobby a few times during our stay for afternoon coffee and a casual dinner.
The bar offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of activities.
The ambiance was even more magical in the evening with a roaring fireplace and live piano music. We enjoyed some light meals and bar snacks, all of which were delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks.
The service was also top-notch, adding to the overall wonderful experience at Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz.
