Although there are many more gorgeous places to stay in Bali than just the ones on this list, we’ve personally stayed at each of these and highly recommend them for their photogenic qualities, top-notch service, and unbeatable views.

1. AYANA Resort Bali
First up is AYANA Resort Bali, a lavish hotel located along the coast of Jimbaran Bay in the south of the island, just half an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
For starters, the cliffside setting and the lush surrounding jungle already make AYANA a picture-perfect hotel. Couple this with the shimmering blue Indian Ocean, and you’ve got a sensational location for capturing some sublime pictures.
The facilities at ANAYA are second to none. Among the 12 pools were tiered, river-inspired, and seafront infinity varieties.
Not only were the pools themselves aesthetically pleasing, but the seafront setting made them even more picturesque.
An award-winning spa, two gyms, a diverse array of beautiful dining experiences, and a cliff-edge bar made for sunset lovers make up just some of AYANA’s exquisite amenities.
I could gush about the resort’s villas all day long. Relaxation is at the forefront of the design here, and the fusion of modern luxury with Balinese tradition was executed perfectly. These villas get bonus points for their sweeping ocean views.

2. Magic Hills Bali
On the east of the island lies Magic Hills Bali, a stunning complex of eco-lodges that’s credited as one of the most Instagrammable hotels in Bali, thanks to its luxurious bamboo villas and views of Mount Agung.
Tucked away amidst the dense jungle and vibrant rice terraces of Selat, Magic Hills Bali feels as if it’s hours from civilization, though it’s less than 20 minutes from the slightly more popular area of Sideman.
If you’re looking for the best bamboo houses in Bali, then this is the place for you! Magic Hills Bali currently has seven bamboo villas, all of which are entirely handmade and built with sustainable materials.
We got to check out three villas during our visit, which included the three-story Princess House as well as the Angel and Queen Houses, both of which are set over two floors.
These villas are located right next to each other and each has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pool, and the likes of hammocks and hanging chairs.
Depending on which villa you choose, you’ll find a mix of open- and closed-concept bedrooms and bathrooms, plush bedding, handcrafted furniture, and outdoor space for those all-important Insta snaps.
You can also request some additional experiences, such as flower baths and floating breakfasts, to make your stay even more memorable.
3. Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort
Those of you hoping to explore the unspoiled northern regions of Bali without skipping out on a deluxe hotel experience have to add Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort to your list.

4. Wapa di Ume Sidemen
Much like northern Bali, the east of the island tends to be much more relaxed and receives noticeably fewer tourists.
As well as being one of the most Instagrammable hotels in Bali, Wapa di Ume Sidemen is also an excellent base for exploring the culture and natural beauty of Bali.
You’ll find this resort in the village of Sidemen, just over an hour and a half from the airport and within an hour’s drive from spots like Heaven’s Gate at Pura Lempuyang Temple and Tirta Gangga Water Palace.
Wapa di Ume Sidemen consists of only 21 rooms, guaranteeing you a peaceful and intimate stay surrounded by the lush greenery of East Bali.
I recommend staying at the One Bedroom Pool Villa for the ultimate luxury experience. There are only five of these villas, each boasting a private pool and outdoor living area.
If you’re looking for the coolest hotels in Bali with epic pools, Wapa di Ume Sidemen has you covered with its two-level infinity pool. It’s practically impossible to take a bad photo here!

This magnificent hotel also boasts a ton of facilities, such as a huge main pool, a secluded infinity pool, both casual and high-end restaurants, plus the incredible Forest Spa.
Once you’ve revitalized after your treatment, stop by the swinging jungle bed and snap some dazzling photos.
What makes Kamandalu Ubud truly one of the most unique hotels in Bali is the abundance of special experiences you can have during your stay.
You can request a floating breakfast in your pool for an unforgettable start to the day, have a picnic lunch among the rice fields, or have a meal on a small yellow boat that sails through the koi fish-filled lagoon.

One of the most unique experiences offered by The Udaya is their signature baths, where you can soak in a luxurious bathtub surrounded by colorful flower petals. You can choose from more than 30 different designs for your flower bath, making it the perfect photo opportunity.
Another must-try experience is their flower pool, where you can take a dip in an infinity pool adorned with vibrant flowers and surrounded by tropical greenery. It’s truly a stunning sight to behold and capture for your Instagram feed.
If you’re staying in one of the pool villas, you’ll also have the opportunity to request a flower pool in your private pool. The staff will fill your private pool with fresh flowers and petals so you can enjoy the ultimate romantic experience.

This time, we’re heading back to the northern Balinese village of Munduk, where you’ll find the absolutely outstanding Elevate Bali by Hanging Gardens.
This incredible hotel is situated in the mountainous region of Bali, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views.
The zen-like setting overlooks the untouched highlands of the north and is the ideal place to unwind. However, it’s also just a short drive from Munduk and other popular tourist attractions such as Banyumala Waterfall, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, and the famous Handara Gate.
What sets Elevate Bali apart from other hotels in Bali is its unique design and architecture.
The design of the lobby is some of the most unique in Bali, featuring a pool with circular platforms and hundreds of koi fish swimming below. It’s the perfect spot for taking photos and enjoying the stunning scenery.

8. Camaya Bali
My personal favorite out of all the amazing bamboo houses on the island is Camaya Bali, as there’s simply nowhere quite like it when you’re in search of a secluded hideaway.
Situated in Selat, Camaya is around 20 minutes by car from Sidemen and almost an hour and a half from Ubud, so it really is an isolated part of Bali where you’ll enjoy the utmost privacy.
As Camaya has been built with solitude in mind, the only shared space among the properties is the restaurant. However, if you’d prefer to enjoy your meals from the comfort of your own room you can also order room service.
Camaya Bali currently has six uniquely designed bamboo houses, most of which have two bedrooms and are suitable for both couples and families.
Because no two lodges are the same, you’ll enjoy one-of-a-kind features, including hanging nets, private jacuzzis, and outdoor showers.
We stayed in the two-bedroom Pyramid house, where we had the choice between sleeping in the pyramid-shaped main building or the cozy outdoor dome.
We also had a private outdoor hot tub that could be filled with fragrant flower petals upon request for the ultimate romantic experience. Chilling on the hanging nets and sipping on a fresh coconut while taking in the stunning views was also a highlight of our stay.
9. Stone House Bali
Stone House Bali is probably one of the coolest hotels in Bali offering Insta-worthy bamboo houses that are located within easy reach of a bustling tourist hub.
Less than a 10-minute drive from the vibrant Ubud, Stone House Bali is a practical option if you want the unparalleled bamboo house experience without having to venture too far when you feel like exploring a busier part of the area.
Between the pool area hidden amongst the towering green trees and the onsite restaurant serving freshly prepared Indonesian dishes, everything here has been created in keeping with the local culture and landscape.
There are actually a range of room styles at Stone House Bali, but the Treehouse villa is what you’ll need to book if you’re in the market for an oh-so-aesthetic bamboo house.
During our stay, we fell in love with the open-air design, netted lounge area, copper tub, and round-shaped bed.
The breakfast delivered to our room every morning was absolutely fantastic and you can also ask for your tub to be filled with colorful petals if you want to level up your Instagram game.
10. Anantara Uluwatu
I couldn’t talk about unique hotels in Bali and not mention the staggeringly beautiful Anantara Uluwatu, a cliffside resort in the southern hotspot of Uluwatu.
Anantara is around an hour south of Ngurah Rai International Airport. Despite its exclusive coastal location, it’s super close to many of the shops, bars, and restaurants in Uluwatu.
In contrast to many of the more traditional-inspired Balinese hotels on this list, Anantara is all about modern luxury and sleek decor. Nonetheless, it’s just as gorgeous.
The hotel has a massive tiered outdoor swimming pool that takes advantage of the cliff-front location and makes for a spectacular sunset spot. This view can also be taken in from the hotel’s oceanfront restaurants and even from the onsite spa.
Every kind of room you’ve ever dreamed of is available at Anantara, from swanky suites right up to huge three-bedroom villas with infinity pools and deep-soak tubs.
A host of extra benefits are included in the rate for many of the elegant, ocean-inspired rooms, such as free shuttles to the beach and complimentary snacks by the pool.
11. Sumberkima Hill Retreat
As underrated as northern and eastern Bali are, there’s nowhere quite as unblemished as the island’s western regions.
At Sumberkima Hill Retreat, you’ll have the chance to experience uninterrupted downtime in the most serene, natural environment.
The closest town that’s commonly known amongst tourists is Lovina, but even this north coast gem is over an hour away from the resort. What you’re left with are remote jungles, mountains, and the sea, all of which are undiscovered by most visitors to Bali.
You’ll capture the most astounding photos from the three magical restaurants, as each of them serves as a unique vantage point. However, the views from the yoga studio, shared pool, and spa could give the dining areas a run for their money.
I’ve lost count of the number of room styles available at Sumberkima Hill Retreat! You can choose from the likes of peaceful garden suites, two-bedroom villas with infinity pools, and traditional properties that hold up to 11 guests.
We got to stay at Villa Bali Mynah, a 2-bedroom villa with a round outdoor pool and a top-floor gazebo, and Villa Naga, one of the bigger villas with 3 bedrooms and a stunning infinity pool.
