They currently have six uniquely designed houses and apart from the Nirvana Villa which only has one bedroom, all other houses have two bedrooms and are perfect for families or groups of friends. Each house features its own unique elements, such as hanging nets, private pools, or panoramic outdoor lounges.
We stayed at the Pyramid House and absolutely loved it! The design is both stunning and practical, with high-quality furnishings that make the space as comfortable as it is beautiful. Relaxing in the hanging net with uninterrupted views of the surrounding rice terraces was a highlight, and we also really enjoyed having our own private plunge pool.
Camaya Bali is a great choice if you want to explore the underrated Sidemen Valley and its stunning landscape. They also offer various activities such as local hikes and yoga classes and their restaurant serves delicious organic food.
2. Magic Hills Bali
Magic Hills Bali is a collection of stunning bamboo houses nestled in the lush Sidemen countryside. With 12 unique homes to choose from, ranging from cozy one-bedroom retreats to spacious four-bedroom villas, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or as a family.
They originally started with three incredible houses: Queen House, Angel House, and Princess House, which are located right next to each other. We had the pleasure of staying at the Princess House and visiting the other two, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
Each house is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful open-concept spaces, private pools, and breathtaking views of Mount Agung and the surrounding rice fields.
Now expanded, Magic Hills offers even more options, but all the bamboo homes maintain the same magical atmosphere that sets them apart.
Located about an hour from Ubud, Magic Hills is perfect for anyone looking to escape Bali’s busier areas. Each house is built sustainably using locally sourced bamboo, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort.
If you’re planning a trip to Bali, this is one destination you won’t want to miss!
3. Balikayanas Bamboo House

Right next to the three bamboo houses of Magic Hills Bali, you will find the Miggiell House from Balikayanas Bamboo House. This two-story villa is perfect for four people as it has an open bedroom on each floor.
Compared to the rest of the bamboo houses in Bali, this one is among the most affordable but that doesn’t mean it compromises on luxury. This house is equipped with all the necessary amenities and it even has a small outdoor pool with a beautiful garden.
If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay at an affordable price, this is definitely the perfect option!
4. Stone House
While most bamboo houses in Bali are located on the eastern side of the island, Stone House is one of the few exceptions as it’s located only a few minutes from the center of Ubud.
The Stone House is actually comprised of six different units which are all really beautiful but if you’re specifically looking for Bali bamboo houses, you have to take a look at the Treehouse.
Built entirely from bamboo and perched seven meters above the ground, this open-air structure provides an unforgettable jungle experience. The fully open design allows you to feel connected to nature, with stunning views of the surrounding rice paddies and coconut trees.
The Treehouse features a comfortable circular bed with a mosquito net and there’s also an oversized copper bathtub on the porch, perfect for a relaxing soak or a flower bath! While the space is rustic and open, it includes modern touches such as a flushing toilet and hot water shower.
Stone House Bali also has a beautiful swimming pool for all guests to use and their restaurant serves delicious traditional Indonesian dishes.

Ubud is undoubtedly one of the best places to stay in Bali, for a good reason! The town is the cultural heart of the island and is surrounded by incredibly green rice paddies, lush jungles, and gorgeous waterfalls, so it’s definitely worth spending at least 3 days in Ubud.
The good news is that you don’t need to venture deep inside the jungle to stay in an authentic bamboo house in Bali, you can do it in the heart of Ubud as well!
Le Sabot Ubud offers several different types of villas, some of them can accommodate two people but you can find two-bedroom villas on the property as well which are perfect for up to 4 people.
Each villa features a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries and you can also get access to a beautiful garden with a huge outdoor swimming pool.
The property is located right next to the rice fields so it offers an incredible panorama. You would think that staying in a gorgeous place like this must cost a fortune, but on the contrary, Le Sabot Ubud is quite affordable so it can be a perfect choice even if you’re visiting Bali on a budget.
