Location
The location of La Cort My Dollhouse is truly unbeatable. Situated in the picturesque Val Gardena Valley, this family-run hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
It’s only an eight-minute drive from the town of Ortisei, so while the hotel feels secluded and private, you’re still within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and other attractions.
If you’re coming with a car, the hotel offers free on-site parking, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas at your own pace.
On top of that, the local bus stops literally in front of the hotel, providing convenient transportation to the town of Ortisei and other nearby locations. You’ll also receive two free bus tickets upon check-in, which is a nice added touch.
Ortisei is not only one of the prettiest towns in the Dolomites but it also provides easy access to two of the most famous places in the Dolomites, the Seceda ridgeline and Alpe di Siusi. There are loads of other hiking trails and ski slopes in the area as well, so you’ll have plenty to explore during your stay.
Rooms
The rooms at La Cort My Dollhouse are cozy and comfortable, and have a traditional alpine feel to them.
We stayed in a Premium Doll Room on the third floor and were amazed by the stunning views from our balcony. Waking up to the sight of the Dolomites every morning was truly a dream!
The room was very spacious – we could even open two big suitcases at the same time without feeling cramped which was a huge plus. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft and clean.
The bathroom was also quite spacious and had a modern design. The shower had great water pressure and temperature control, which is always a plus after a long day of hiking or skiing.
Rooftop Spa
One of the highlights of our stay at La Cort My Dollhouse was definitely the rooftop spa. The infinity pool is heated and offers panoramic views of the mountains and the town of Ortisei.
The best thing is that the pool is open from 8 am to 9 pm, so you can enjoy a relaxing swim at any time of the day. Since many guests are going out to explore the area during the day, we often had the pool all to ourselves in the middle of the day.
The spa also offers a panoramic Finnish sauna, a steam room, and an organic herbal sauna, as well as a cozy relaxation area with loungers.
Dining
The hotel offers a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, and more. They also have a small terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast with a view – it was definitely my favorite way to start the morning!
If the weather is not so supportive, they also have a spacious indoor dining area with large windows offering the same stunning views.
The Linner buffet is also included in your stay – it’s a very unique concept that combines lunch and dinner into one meal. The buffet is running from 4 pm to 7 pm and offers a variety of hot and cold dishes, as well as desserts.
You can either treat it as a late lunch or an early dinner – we usually opted for the latter, as it allowed us to spend the whole day exploring without having to worry about finding a restaurant for dinner.
If you want to have a later dinner, the hotel has several recommendations for nearby restaurants.
Final Thoughts
Overall, we had an amazing stay at La Cort My Dollhouse, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Dolomites. The location, rooms, spa, and dining options all exceeded our expectations and made our trip truly memorable.
One thing to note is that this hotel is adults-only, so it’s not suitable for families with children. However, if you’re looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway in the heart of the Dolomites, then La Cort My Dollhouse is the perfect choice.
