Hotel Review: Th8 Palm, Dubai

Th8 Palm, Managed by Accor is a luxury boutique hotel on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, that radiates modern luxury and style.

We recently had the pleasure of a two-night stay at this 5-star resort hotel. In case you are wondering whether this is the hotel for you, this post is going to detail my experience of being a guest of Th8 Palm. This should help you decide whether this is the perfect match for your next trip to Dubai.

Arriving at Th8 Palm

Location

Th8 Palm is located on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s iconic man-made archipelago of islands that look like a giant palm tree when viewed from above. This hotel is situated at the outermost part of the isles in the area known as “the crescent”.

Access to the hotel is a 25-minute drive south of the malls and landmarks of Downtown Dubai. Dubai International Airport (DXB) is a 35-minute drive. A taxi from the terminal will cost approximately 100 AED ($27 US).

If you choose to rent a car while in Dubai then you will benefit from free valet parking during your stay at Th8 Palm.

Palm Jumeirah is swimming in restaurants, amenities, entertainment venues, and family-friendly attractions such as Atlantis at The Palm. It is connected to the mainland via a monorail if you choose to get around via public transport.

As Th8 Palm is located on Crescent Road, it does feel more remote than comparable resorts on the “trunk” of the Palm. This section is ideal if you want to be away from the busier areas yet have the convenience of a short drive (or Uber) into Downtown Dubai.

The location and the hotel itself will appeal to couples and families alike.

Lobby & Check-in Process

The artistic lobby at Th8 Palm sets the tone for this stylish resort where interiors are modeled on a mash-up of Miami Beach, the Far East, and European. We received a warm welcome to the hotel and had access to the concierge desk around the clock.

Check-in at the hotel is from 3 pm while check-out is at 12 noon. The hotel offers luggage storage, late check-out, and express check-out facilities.

Rooms & Suites

Th8 Palm, Managed by Accor offers a total of 161 guest rooms and suites which means that the hotel retains its intimate, boutique vibe.

Each room is uniquely curated in a minimalist style with careful attention to detail. A selling point is that all units have full kitchen facilities, which is handy if you’d rather prepare some of your own meals.

We stayed in a Palm Seaview One Bedroom Suite for two nights. This came with a King-size bed, a Queen-size sofa bed, a complete kitchen unit with a dining area, and a spacious bathroom. The bathroom was equipped with a walk-in shower and a double vanity. The decor evokes the elements, with soothing watery hues and earthy tones.

As the suite can technically host four people, we had more than enough living space.

French sliding doors opened onto our private balcony that provided an uninterrupted view of the Palm and the city skyline. If you want to treat yourself then you can order breakfast to your room to eat on the terrace.

Considering the size and room facilities, Th8 Palm would be an excellent choice if you’re fortunate to be planning a long-term stay in Dubai.

Service & Facilities

Pools

There are two swimming pools on-site at Th8 Palm, Managed by Accor. Both are heated and positioned strategically outdoors so that you can lap up the scenery while completing your laps!

One pool is reserved for adult guests while the family pool welcomes children. Pools are flanked by countless loungers where you can bask under the Middle Eastern sunshine. It is also possible to rent cabanas.

Beach Club

This fashionable hotel comes with its own beach club, Fluid. This is a fantastic spot to soak up the rays and sip on cocktails while professional DJs play in the background.

The club features a jaw-dropping infinity pool that overlooks the Arabian Gulf and the private stretch of beach available exclusively to hotel guests and beach club clientele.

Gym

If you want to keep trim during your stay in Dubai then there is a fitness suite available at Th8 Palm.

Dining

In addition to the beach club, Th8 Palm provides its guests with its signature restaurant, Envy, and one coffee shop, EllaMia, where you can also pick up light bites and pastries.

Envy is where you will eat breakfast and dinner is also served here in case it’s included in your stay.

The space comprises an expansive open-air terrace with views over the Palm and the ocean. There is also a large indoor dining room with interesting pieces of art and a huge lemon tree that hints at the theme of the lunch and dinner menus – the Mediterranean!

The lunch and dinner menu is inspired by the flavors of Southern Europe. You can choose from the likes of salads, pizzas, pastas, and grilled meats. Envy is also fitted with a beautiful Art Deco bar where you can enjoy a tipple in the evening.

Final Thoughts

Th8 Palm, Managed by Accor is a swanky yet laid-back hotel that I can wholeheartedly recommend to check out when visiting Dubai. It’s especially a great place in case you’re planning to stay for a longer time in the city as you can take advantage of the kitchen and the ample living space.

The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Meanwhile, the room, facilities, and dining options were without fault. If you’re looking for a quieter area to stay in Dubai then this part of the Palm is perfect.
