The Netherlands’s ever-so-charming capital of Amsterdam is synonymous with winding canals, a thriving coffee shop culture, and swathes of lightning-fast cyclists.
What we don’t tend to associate with Amsterdam are hot summer days and sweaty afternoons trying to escape the sunshine.
Despite being much cooler than its southern European counterparts, The Netherlands is no stranger to some sizzling temperatures from June to August, which are especially noticeable when you’ve spent your days exploring Amsterdam on foot.
Tracking down the finest Amsterdam hotels with pools will make your summer vacation much more enjoyable, giving you the perfect place to cool off after a busy day of sightseeing or a spot to unwind when you feel like taking it easy.
As hotels in Amsterdam with pools continue to pop up across the city in the likes of the Jewish Quarter or De Pijp neighborhood, you’ll have many more options than you might have expected.

In addition to the indoor pool, the art’otel plays host to a tapas-style Portuguese restaurant and a bar filled with cocktails to pair with your meal. As this hotel is a work of art in itself, exhibitions are held here regularly, and you’ll likely find one aligning with your visit.
Each room is super sophisticated yet has some offbeat artwork to make it a little more edgy. With in-room amenities like Elemis toiletries, deluxe bathrobes, and mood lighting in each room, art’otel is all about modern luxury.

You’ll have some of Amsterdam’s best-loved bars and restaurants within walking distance from the property, or you can hop on the metro at the nearby DePijp station and get wherever you need to be in minutes.

When it comes to your room, you can choose between refined studios complete with kitchenettes, suites with four-poster beds overlooking the river, or chic lofts to fit the whole family.

What was a bank and a music school once upon a time, the Conservatorium Hotel now stands to be one of the best Amsterdam hotels with a pool.
The Conservatorium might just have the most desirable location in Amsterdam. With bustling bars and sought-after restaurants on every corner and some of the best places to visit in Amsterdam, like the Van Gogh Museum and Vondelpark, minutes from the hotel, it’s hard to imagine securing a better spot than this.
If the location caught your eye, the facilities here will seal the deal. Traditional brunch classics, Asian-influenced dishes, and unique cocktails are all on the agenda, as are visits to the pool and pamper sessions at the wellness center.

Best Amsterdam Hotels with Pools near Jewish Quarter
10. Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark
Next, we’re moving to the culturally rich Jewish Quarter, where the Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark is perched along the canal.
This is a much more low-key area where you’ll be close to plenty of cute cafes and relaxed bars, but you’ll be away from the buzz of the city center if you prefer to base yourself in a quiet part of town.
That being said, you can easily check out some interesting spots like the Netherlands Maritime Museum or the Artis Zoo from here.
During your stay, you’ll have the use of a pristine pool, Finnish sauna, and Turkish steam bath. You can enjoy a hearty meal in the industrial-style lounge or dine outdoors when the sun is shining, where you’ll also be able to order some craft beers and cocktails.
All the rooms here are quintessentially cool, much like Amsterdam itself, with artsy features like stone walls and colorful prints combined with stand-alone tubs, Nespresso machines, and walk-in showers.
11. Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam
Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam is one of the prettiest hotels with a pool in Amsterdam, which will leave you wondering if you’ve been transported to a tropical Indonesian haven.
You’ll find Hotel Jakarta on the waterfront along the River IJ, where countless ships once departed for Asia. The NEMO Science Museum and A’DAM Lookout are within easy reach of the property, though your best option is to hop on a bike and see Amsterdam like a local.
Though Hotel Jakarta is spectacular to look at, thanks to the clean wooden decor and masses of bright green plants, the facilities are pretty wonderful, too! From a large pool that looks out of the city to the glamorous sky bar, you’ll be planning your next visit as soon as you leave.
The Pacific theme continues into the guestrooms, with pale wooden decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, and tropical-printed rugs. Each room at Hotel Jakarta also provides guests with exclusive toiletries, a mini-fridge, and a kettle.

13. Hotel & Wellness Zuiver
It’s not often you come across an Amsterdam hotel with an outdoor pool, yet Hotel & Wellness Zuiver offers just that.
Although Hotel & Wellness Zuiver lies along the outskirts of Amsterdam, the Amstelveenseweg metro station is 1.3 km (0.8 miles) away, which will take you into the city center in no time.
As an inn that centers around well-being, you can expect some top-notch facilities, which include saunas, steam rooms, a whirlpool, and a spa offering a broad range of refreshing treatments. All of this is in addition to the two pools and international restaurant.
Each room at Zuvier maintains the calm ambiance of the hotel, with cool-toned upholstery, comfy bathrobes, and spacious living areas.

Right by Rembrantpark is the four-star WestCord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam. Though you’ll find some fantastic spots to grab a bite to eat or drink near the WestCord, you can hop on a bike and have your pick of Amsterdam’s best-loved eateries in less than 15 minutes.
This will also put you in easy reach of tourist hotspots like Vondelpark. As the name suggests, this hotel is as fashionable as they come, with a glitzy restaurant and sky bar. If you fancy squeezing in a workout, rent some bikes to explore the city, swim some laps of the pool, or hit the gym.
All of WestCord’s simple and sleek rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, walk-in showers, and a safe.
15. Corendon Amsterdam New-West
Take a break from the hectic Amsterdam city center and enjoy some downtime at the Corendon Amsterdam New-West.
As there are a couple of metro stations just a 10-minute walk from the property, you can easily see the best of the city by day before retreating to the peace and quiet of the Corendon by night.
Undoubtedly, the star of the show at the Corendon is the Instagram-ready Caribbean restaurant Mondi, open for lunch, dinner, or late-night drinks. For a reduced fee, guests can access the swimming pool, sauna, and spa too.
All the rooms have recently been refurbished and mix paired-back furnishings with pops of color. Each of them has super soft beds, fully loaded mini-bars, and super strong air conditioning.
16. Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens
Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens is a modern hotel in an up-and-coming corner of Amsterdam, just 850 meters from the Keerkringpark.
Within 20 minutes on public transport, guests can get to the city center, though the hotel’s Houthhaven location places it in the middle of a trendy neighborhood with quirky stores and restaurants.
Alternatively, if you’re a fan of French food, you can stay put and order some dinner at Moxy’s Lars Brasserie before or after some drinks at the hotel’s 24-hour bar.
Your room at the Moxy Amsterdam will include breathtaking harborside views, lounging chairs, built-in USB sockets, 43-inch plasma screen TVs, and queen-sized double beds with premium sheets.
17. WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam
One of my favorite Amsterdam hotels with pools is the beautiful WestCord Art Hotel, on the outskirts of the city’s historic district near the Dijkpark.
Guests will enjoy a wealth of facilities at the WestCord Art Hotel, including an onsite brasserie with an a la carte menu, bike rentals, a spacious outdoor terrace with a hip bar, and a collection of art from the well-known Dutch painter Herman Brood.
All the guestrooms here feature brand-new LCD TVs, Nespresso coffee machines, modern bathrooms with deep baths or rain showers, and cozy extra-large double beds that will make you never want to leave.
